Do I need additional statistics via Livestats ?

Probably not. If you can access raw logs, you could download them and analyse them on your home computer with a stats program yourself. However, the log files can get quite large for popular sites, so having the server analyse them may be more convenient.
You can purchase an additional statistics feature from your control panel. This is listed under your packages 'extra features'.
